 Have you seen the 1946 film La Belle et la Bête, directed by Jean Cocteau, starring Jean Marais as the Beast and Josette Day as the Beauty?  This paperweight evokes some of the feeling of Cocteau’s creation, way before Disney’s animated version.

Caithness Paperweights are from Scotland and made by master glass craftsmen.    These are museum quality pieces, and the ones at Ann’s are not readily available anywhere else. 

Ann’s has so many Caithness pieces because about 10 years ago, when we first discovered Caithness Paperweights, we fell in love with the beautiful colors and ethereal quality of these glass works of art.  Many of ours are signed by the late Colin Terris, who visited our store twice before he died.  Others are also signed by Caithness designers.
