Elf on the Shelf

For all of you who shop for Christmas way in advance:   This is a Christmas gift you need to have ready BEFORE Christmas!  Elf on the Shelf flits around your house in the days and weeks leading up to December 25 as the children anticipate the big day (and their big haul).   You are the means by which he flits, of course, because every night after the kiddies go to sleep, you move the elf to another spot.  When they wake up, they tear around looking for him and wonder how he got there, what he’s thinking, and what he’ll tell Santa about them.
