Gala jewelry

Some jewelry is so special and extravagant that it deserves nothing less than to be worn at a gala.  For today’s fantasy adventure, come with us to Russia, where preparations for the re-opening of the fabled Bolshoi Theatre are near completion.  No expense has been spared to renovate this former gem to its original glory and place of honor as showcase of the world’s top dancers and opera singers, where the curtain has not been raised in 6 years.

The Bolshoi Theatre opened in 1856.

Current renovation estimated to cost $720 million.

Of course there will be a party on opening night.    Imagine the glittering scene… you’ll need SPECTACULAR jewelry, natch.

To evoke the Byzantine splendor of the occasion, may we suggest some of Ann’s new Andrew Hamilton Crawford pieces?  Any of these would be perfect, but since you’re from Texas, it’s entirely acceptable to wear them all at the same time.  That’s what we’re known for.  And those Russians are not exactly minimalists, are they???  Load up, gals!

New Byzantine cross pendant necklace in cream enamel and gold inlay from Alexander Hamilton Crawford, $447.

Matching Andrew Hamilton Crawford earrings, $357/pair.

Andrew Hamilton Crawford bracelet completes the ensemble, $447.

So, now you’re all set.  What?  Not invited?  Pity.  But isn’t it fun to dream???  Perhaps another gala opportunity will present itself, and of course, you’ll know exactly where to go to bedeck yourself in appropriate jewels.  Come see us at Ann’s!
